Hi!
We had quite a lot of work done on the front masonry of our tenement last summer and the new burnt sand mastic is cracking. It started cracking not long after work was done so we had it repaired while the scaffolding was still up. But now less than a year on it's doing it again. Winter is coming and I'm very worried about damp coming in, and drafts.
What is general lifetime of burnt sand mastic? Surely more than a year?
I'm already little worried the masonry wall is "sinking" and causing the mastic to crack. The bay windows don't shut like they used to and now have gaps.
Or perhaps its that the mastic wasn't mixed right?
Thanks for your thoughts!
