Hi
I wonder if anyone can help me here. In one of the bedrooms in my house the dimmer switch is buzzing. From what i can gather it is the actual switch itself. It is only powering one bulb.
Should i just replace it with a more expensive one? Any ideas on what 'play it safe' rating switch i can get for this?

Dimmers do tend to buzz when in operation.
However, you should check that the wiring inside is tight - but only after isolating the circuit.
You should also check the dimmer rating and manufacturers instructions - some quote a minimum lamp wattage and it must not be a cfl - check that against your single lamp.
