Cable clips !??!?!

Hi there,

I am running cables out from my house to a brick shed, i.e. power and computer networking cables.

I tried a few different cable clips and they just won't go in, the house is rendered and they just go in about half the way and then chip the render and come back out..

Any ideas what i need ??

What cables? You are aware that this work is probably notifiable?

Its just a basic temporary mains extension lead and also a UTP network Cable

Drill a small hole, pop a wooden dowel in it and tap the clips into that.

Thats not a bad idea...

I don't mind drilling, but surely there is some sort of clip i can put on the cable then drill and screw in ?

Not for small dia cables. They will look stupid.
