Heard about those cable staplers that staple cables upto 2.5mm or even higher, are they any good, any chance of nicking the cable?

I played with one in the wholesalers. They can nick the cable, and only staple into softwood. I am sticking to good old fashioned clips :)

I've had a play myself too, cant see that it would save me too much time, even if i did rakes of first fixing work.

Personally, I would only use a stapler/tacker for telecoms or coax cables, SKY and Titish Belecom are great ar firing the staples right through the middle of the cables, they may as well use a nail gun.

I only ever use mine on alarm and telephone wiring. I use normal clips for coax. I think my staples would be a bit small for coax.
