they are an absolute must in my toolbox...
they come in 2 parts, 1st part is a small generator with 2 dog clips which you attach to cable, one either end or just 1 to 1... that sends a low voltage current down the conductor...next bit is the oscillator, its just a handheld gun that picks up the signal along the way getting louder as you find your cable
