Hi
Is there any way of helping to disperse possible heat from wiring in the loft when between insulation and chipboard flooring, we are talking 2.5mm ring main, 6mm for hob and 1.5mm lighting wire. There will be possibly up to 1" clearence between the two but wondered if laying cables on or wrapping them on or in silver foil would help counter-act any extra heat build up. Any other suggestions apart from raising floor higher would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

eek!!!! no!!

Dont wrap cables in foil.

AFAICT, it should be acceptable to run the cables in plastic conduit, on top of the insulation. This is what they did in the garage extension with a bedroom above on our house. The floor in between was insulated and the run for the garage light was in plastic conduit. The conduit itself will give the cable space to breathe.
