Hi,
I hope this topic fits in the plumbing section, I wasn't sure where to put it.

I am putting in a cooker hood and want to vent it outside. I'm my kitchen I have an old blocked up airbrick which when uncovered on the inside still goes outside.
What I was wondering was it is suitable to use this to vent the cookerhood? I was thinking I could duct the cookerhood to some kind of adapter which would fit into an airbrick shape.

Would anyone be able to help me and say if this is possible and safe to do so please? I was worried about causing any kind of moisture in the void between the two brick walls.

Thank you anyone who can advise.

Thanks
Simon

Put a duct right through to seal from the cavity. There are airbrick-compatible vent adapters out there.
Perfik.

I know you say the airbrick is blocked up, but be careful if the airbrick is there because you have a gas appliance that requires it located in the kitchen. If it is, you should install a suitable replacement.
