Canadian plumbing ?

Can anybody help. My sister and her husband live in Canada and for some reason their toilet is constantly getting blocked and on one accasion while my mother was staying it got so bad that the sewage actually came over the top of the toilet pan and the smell in the house is now dreadfull. .Can anyone tell me so i can help them what size are the soil pipes over their and how many litres do their wc cisterns hold

They don't have a small child or a baby but my mother did drop her false teeth in the toilet and neather found them . Could they be stuck in the pan somewhere?

i was actually thinking of foreign bodies blocking the bend - disposable nappies or toy trains - but maybe teeth could do it.

I would have thought it was more likely the trap in the WC that was the prob than the pipework
