Hi, we have a washer/dryer which has started to get too hot when drying (at least it smells too hot and the washing feels really hot and steams when you open the door)

On the top of the heater unit there are four devices. What appear to be a couple of trip switches and a couple of thermistors (excuse my ignorance I am more used to working with electronic musical instruments)

The motor that drives the fan in the top of the machine is working ok (but i havn't checked to see if the fan is turning inside the plastic housing which i will do later)

The dryer doesn't have a seperate pipe for the hot air to escape, it all comes out the waste pipe.

Any suggestions on what I should check?
