can anyone pls help on a gas cooker with ignition how does the cooker sense the flame is lit and where and what does the sensor look like

its a thermocoupling , not for any amateur to fiddle with

I senses it through the electrode, lead and generator so any could be faulty, unless you are competent its against the law to work on it yourself.
