Caulk...

Anybody found one that doesn't craze under vinyl emulsion? And before anyone says 'how long you leaving to dry before painting' no matter if its hours/days/weeks always crazes!?!

I know how to solve it but it does my head in, its meant to be quick and easy but you got to start messing around undercoating the caulk or zinnser BUT WHY SHOULD WE????

Ive used the usual suspects - fat hog- polycell- painters mate- soudal.

It's an annoying problem, some are worse than others, Everbuild 121 one hour caulk is pretty good, only very occasionally do I get this problem with the Everbuild.

Is it just me but has it got worse in the last 4-5years?
Where can you buy everbuild from as I've never come across it?

I get mine from toolstation, I think they have branches pretty much nationwide. It has been a problem with some caulks ever since I can remember, but some are certainly worse than others.

Geocel is one of the worst. Its the paint though isnt it that crazes, not the caulk itself. I read somewhere that geocel make most caulk and its re-branded so perhaps the trick is to get one that isn't made by them (if you can find out). I find the wickes caulk pretty good, havn't tried the everbuild just found this, LOOK at the price!

That is a bargain, I pay £1.20 in toolstation.
