(Hope this is the right forum!)
Does anyone know a good manufacturer of extractor fans I can mount in the ceiling directly above my gas hob?
I don't want to use a normal 'hood' as it would take a lot of light from an adjacent window.
I know a company called 'Westin' make them - but they're very flash (and abominably expensive) - and also they're 'off the peg' models won't fit between the joists in the ceiling above, I got a quote to custom make one, but it was a bit scary)
What I actually want is simply one (or more) grilles in the ceiling, with ducts leading to an inline fan and then outside.
The problem, I imagine, is that the 'grille' fittings would need to incorporate grease filters.
(The reason I say one or more grilles would be to work around the joists above, while keeping a decent area being extracted)
Thanks all!
