Hello all,

New to the forum and looking for a bit of advice.

Following a small leak from the bathroom above, the plaster ceiling rose in my lounge is now hanging off (see pics). The house is 17 years old (not entirely sure why someone thought it was a good idea to put a rose on in the first place) and looks like it’s just kept on with some plaster round the edge.

Can I just put some new plaster round the edge and push it back onto the ceiling for it to set? Do I need a special type of product? I’m a complete novice when it comes to plastering so please excuse the stupid questions.

Cheers,
Bertles

Get some "Sticks like s##t " adhesive ,and put that around the edge then prop it up and leave it for a few hours...

If it's a full plaster rose these should really be screwed into the joists above as well as plastered but grip fill or the like should do the job
