Yes.. when done with mortar its simple and common.. with concrete its a little more hit and miss and expensive.. better to paint after casting

yes you can buy numerous colours from your brick and cement dealer it comes in a powder you put in when mixing your cement but go careful it dries lighter than when it,s wet.
Iv'e used it with pink patio or block walls and Iv'e seen beautiful jobs where they pour a cement driveway and sprinkle it on the surface and trowel it in then use rubber form paterns to make it look like flagstone.
