hello all
i have a central heating problem !!!!!!!!!!
have an ideal w100 boiler ,the problem is the pump required for the central heating is too large for the recommended rating ie 1amp max yet the pump required had to be 4amps.the manufacturer recommends fitting a relay for greater currents than 1amp. the question is where do i fit the relay ?
how do i wire it?
what type of relay?........manufacturer?.........rating?
any help greatly appreciated.

this either belongs in the electrics forum or the plumbing forum...

Would it have not been a better idea to do as i did 10 mins ago, say nothing and press the alert mods button

see, they have moved it already. now to ask them to remove this

If your system requires a massive pump, surely a tiny boiler, like your less than ideal Ideal is not up to the job?

also what is the pump you are using?

Does one assume you are talking about the Imax W100 commercial boiler?

The fuse rating for this boiler is 5 amp, so you should have no problems with the pump if it is rated at 5 amp.

The 1 amp fuse you mention, I assume, can only be the pcb fuse? This should have nothing to do with the pump rating.
