Central Heating - Taps fine, radiators cold.

Hi, hoping someone can help.

Our heating system seems to have given up, the water from our taps is fine (both hot & cold) however all radiators are flat cold.

I have attempted to bleed them but water comes out straight away and is cold.

I left the heating 'on' when I did this, is that the right thing to do?

Apologies for my limited knowledge on this subject.

Really need more info about type of system to be of any help.
