central heating water & radiator problems

i have a combi central heating system and over the past few weeks i have noticed that when the actual central heating is on we sometimes loose the hot water, we then have to turn it all off and change it to just water for a while so it works again.
also i have noticed that when the radiators come on they all of a sudden go cold, does anyone have any ideas on what the problem is? or do i need to get someone out to look at it?

I think you need to mention the exact make and model of your boiler first. All combis are NOT the same.

We might identify the problem, but from the structure of your post I suspect you may not be able to deal with it yourself. You probably still need to get someone out to look at it.
