Hi all.

I've been asked by a local parish council to provide a quote to install a CCTV system at a community centre.

I've previously installed stand alone systems and systems which can be remotely viewed on a phone or computer, but they have asked for the system to be linked to the city councils CCTV control room.

I'm after some advice as to what hardware would need to be installed to achieve this as it's not something I've ever done before.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

The city council will have standards and specifications which your installation will need to meet, and probably a preferred supplier. You (or the community council) will probably also have to look at leased lines or fixed wireless for video and telemetry control feeds.

Before investing any time or money in the project insist on written confirmation from the community council that the city council are in agreement with this proposal and that funding is available.
