I am planning to have my bathroon floor tilied in upstairs bathroon but have been advised that it is possible that they may crack from eg kids jumping as the upstairs of the house is generally more fragile than what it would be on a ground floor, should i still go ahead with tilingon wooded floors or do i need to prepare the floor first?

Depending on what your existing floor is either overboard with 12mm ply or aquapanel or take it all up & replace with 25mm ply.

Do as Jase has said...
Not forgetting reinforce the substrate /joists with noggins (2"/2" pieces of wood screwed between the joists to strengthen them ) an give the joists an noggins a good soaking of wood preservative then lay your ply on top , ;)
