We recently moved into a property which has a cesspit (onion shaped). On its first emptying we noticed the top of the cesspit had split (see pic 1), also the drain next to it which took the effluent had virtually collapsed (see pic 2) though we have had this re-built. The section of the cesspit that is damaged I guess would only cause a problem if it become blocked and filled to the top with waste. Should we however look to repair this (if is is repairable) or maybe look into getting the whole lot replaced? Thanks for your time.
