CH partially working

Can anyone help please.

When CH switching on, sometimes(most of time now) only upstairs heating is working and we hear big banging noise sounding like from pipe which lasts about a few seconds. The boiler is Pottern Suprima 60.

Can anyone point out what is the cause please, you help is greatly appreciated !!

Sounds like the pump might not be working. Can you check by listening to pump through screwdriver (blade on pump, handle to ear)?
