I have downloaded a .iso file from winmx. I know that it is a CD image file and needs to be burnt to cd to make it work. However it is a self booting cd, designed to install a well known OS without install 98se first.
When I tested the disc it told me that Atapi.SY_ was corrupt and quit. Not really a problem as I am not building another machine for a few days. But I feel I should try to correct it by replacing the bad file with a known good one, the question is how? I have a prog called ISO buster but that allows me to read or extract files but not replace them without going all the way down into what looks like code.
I have the file on desktop but no way of messing with it as xp wont open a .iso.
Is there a simple solution?
