Hi,

In my living room, I have 2 wall lights on each wall, all controlled by a one way, 3 gang switch. Each of the 3 buttons on the switch control 2 of the lights.

I decided to change the switch with a Variligh 3Gang One Way Remote dimmer.

I naively assumed it'll be a simple switch over, like for likle. So, unscrewed the 3way switch from the wall, and the wiring is infinitely more complicated than my orignal thoughts - see picture below:

Whereas, the Varilighlt dimmer switch has these:

Is it even possible to replace the manual switch with the Varlight I got, and if so, what would the wiring look like?. Would really appreciate any help.

Regards.

the wires that are in the "com" terminal on your orginal switch go into the "live" on the new switch. The wires that are marked "L1" go into the "load" terminal on the new switch.

should be fine put the three red cables in the load terminals
put the other cables including the loops into the live terminals

only problem you may have is the units require 40 watt of load as a minimum
