We are redoing a room and currently have the central heating pipes in trunking running on the outside of wall. to put them into the wall and then have them plastered in do i need to put them into trunking again or can i just pin them to the brick itself. will the plaster attack the copper pipes like concrete will.

You should protect them from the chemicals in the plaster if it is bare copper. If you use metal capping it will provide a bit of protection from errant nails etc too.

Sometimes you can hide them behind the skirting, where the plaster often leaves a gap. Just don't screw the skirting back through your pipe afterwards, Gripfill is rather useful here.
