I need to chase in some pipework for a radiator. are there any do's and don't . is trunking needed? I'm concerned about expansion if I were to plaster directly onto the pipes. also I understand bonding coat plaster is harmful to copper pipe. Is universal one coat ok to use? Thanks.

one of the main do's and don'ts of chasing copper in and plastering over is don't.
the copper will corrode but before then it will crack the plaster, fit it in mini trunking

Thanks kirkgas. While I was trying to get the thread started again you replied. please ignore my last post, and thanks for your information.
Cheers

Call at local merchants and buy a roll of pipe conduit, think its John Guest I've used. Comes in 25 & 50 mtr roll. Not expensive and quite easy to slide along/around pipe. Nice and corrugated so plaster/render/mud whayever sticks. Also comes in different diameters for pipe
