Terrific video on cheesecloth faux finishing technique that I tried out and loved! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73yCkvRTl5c
I wrote it out, step by step, for those who prefer text in addition to visual.
Tip: Before trying this out on your wall, test your technique on spare piece of wood or cardboard with the same color as the wall that you’re going to do the technique on.
First combine glaze with the colors that you’re going to use.
Then dip the cheesecloth into pink, blot out the extra, and apply to the surface, using rolling and pressing motions. Keep it up until the effect comes out the way you like.
Another tip to bear in mind: Use different shades of the same color, not high contrasting colors, as the effect can be rather wild.
The cheesecloth I used was from http://cheesecloth.com
Hope this is useful for someone!
