Victorian end terrace, brick, chimneys on end (external) wall.
Chimneys front & back had already been lowered & capped, will be having them both taken down below roof line.
Front chimney breast downstairs had already been removed, with I assume brackets holding up the remainder in bedroom & loft above. (There is a boarded in section at a 45degree angle below the remainder)
There is a 2-storey brick cross wall 3.5metres back from the front, however it doesn't go across the whole width of the house to the party wall as there are doorways on both floors. It ends at upstairs ceiling level.
The second wall back has the stair door downstairs & cupboard door upstairs against the end wall, so not sure if/how it ties in.
The joists on both floors go front to back.
It is a big wall as it is considerably above ground level, by ~1 metre for much of it's length.
There is also a possibility of a loft conversion in the future, so could be more weight onto the wall.
If I have the remainder of the chimney breasts removed, is it likely/a good idea that the wall would need reinforcing?
If so, how would that be done?
