Hi all –
Often when re-painting wooden doors etc. the existing paintwork can be prepared by simply rubbing down rather than stripping it all off. But if there are small areas where the paint has chipped off it is difficult to make these areas flush with the surrounding area. I thought maybe some local additional top coats might do it but current paints (especially water-based types) have insufficient body to build up enough thickness. Is fine surface filler any good? Or does anyone have any other tips to avoid the need to strip off all the old paint.
Regards.
