Hi,
Had a faulty flush valve on my 10 year old closely coupled wc, so replaced and also decided to replace the ball flush valve with a fluidmaster 400 Bottom Inlet Float Valve.
But, when I removed the old ball valve, the cistern hole appears to be just over an inch in diameter and the the inlet shank was surrounded by some sort of putty.
Looking for help as to how to fit the new inlet valve in the larger cistern hole. The supplied washer doesn't look up to the job - it only just covers the cistern hole and doesn't secure the valve centrally. Is there any sort of adaptor or washer designed for this, or should I use plumber's mait or some other type of sealant?
Thanks in advance,
Rich
