I never had to fill oil up before. Been driving 5 years. Anyway, today my oil warning indicators illuminated in my car. In a C4 this takes the form of the service light illuminating for 20 seconds on ignition, the oil lamp in the LCD screen flashing, and the radio screen flashes "attention, check oil". Very irritating.
Anyway, I filled it up with some from my dads shed, as far as i know its been there for at least 6 years, but my dad insisted it would be ok, and I could find no reference to oil type in the handbook.
Then I took it for a blast, hoping circulating the oil would help clear the oil fault from the displays.
It didn't. Any ideas?
(And do citroens have a problem with oil - it seems to have gone quickly. It was halfway up the dipstick indicator last I checked - a few months back )
