would like to know if cooke and lewis clad on end panels and clad on tall panels can be cut down to size, also can these be used as replacement end panels.
Many thanks

They usually do need cutting down to size. I can't think why you'd want to use them as replacement end panels, when Cooke and Lewis already do replacement end panels ready drilled with all the holes.

Hi Joinerjohn,
Thanks for your reply, I know you must be thinking "What on earth is she talking about"????? and you would be right as I am trying to find out what clad on panels are and also replacement end panels, as I really dont know, I'm just guessing really. The reason I wanted to know this is because I am buying cooke and lewis doors, plinth, pelmet, cornice etc on clearance from B&Q and they didn't have any end support panels left only clad on end panels, so I wanted to know if I could use these instead to put on the end of my cupboards (Top and Bottom), I can get the proper width but the lengths are long, so hence wanting to know if I could cut them.
I hope you can understand all this and thanks a lot for taking the time to read my posts.
Thanks

Thanks Feasival. Clad on end panels do exactly what they say on the tin. You build your units up as normal, then the coloured panel is fixed on to the end of the unit at the end of the run. (after it's cut to height) (ps Wall unit clad on panels don't need cutting to height). These usually project about a door thickness past the front of the unit. The plinth/cornice/pelmet is then cut to fit in between the end panel and the other end and so does not need to be returned to the wall.
Replacement end panels are coloured panels exactly the same size as the unit panels, with all of the holes drilled so the unit can be made up as normal, but with a matching coloured panel showing to the outside.
On base and wall units, the plinth/cornice/pelmet then needs to be returned to the wall at the end unit.
If B&Q don't have the end panels in stock, could they not order you some , still at the reduced price??
