Hi.

I have bought the flexible silicone spreader to seal all the joints in my shower.

The finish after using this tool is excellent. However there is a very thin amount of silicone on the tiles that stands out when the tiles are wet.

What is the best way for me to clean this off without damaging the seal.

Thanks.

If it is excess on the side of the bead or some stray silicon that has been left to set.
The best solution could be to score it with a stanley or razor blade, so it leave a neat, straight, tidy edge, then gently scrap off using the same tool.
Be carefully not to mark your tile whilst doing this.
It will usually leave a little residue, I use white spirit to soften this up and again the stanley blade and the abrasive side of a sponge to remove this.
There are products available for silicon removal, but never used them.
