Vaillant Eco 831 combi boiler, one rad in the bedroom constantly make a slight clicking noise.

Very Slight but it is there, rad has no air in it as I have bled it.

Any Ideas.

Its clicks constantly when the heating is running, I'm pretty sure its not expansion and contraction.

TRV is set to max currently with the cold spell, as the system is new I have yet to try the TRV at a lower setting.

the clicking noise seems to be comming more from the return side of the rad.

My flow enters on the TRV side.

Try opening the lockshield more?

Are you sure the TRV is on the flow side, did you fit it?

Yes I laid all the pipe work before the boiler was installed.

Also the TRV pipe get hot first.

its the same noise that I would expect from expanding and contracting metal.

A bit like when you have been fast in your car then when you turn the engine off you hear a clicking noise of the exhaust contracting.

Its only minor but it is there.

Sorted now, I have turned the lockshield down a turn and this has stopped the clicking.
