cold radiators after removing/ capping downstairs radiator

Hi, we are having a kitchen fitted and the installers removed the kitchen (downstairs) radiator and capped it. Since then we have been having problems with the heating and now all radiators are cold. We have a baxi back boiler and a feed and expansion tank in loft. When we tried bleeding the radiators a little air came out and stopped but no water. We also mistakenly tried bleeding with system on. When the heating is on we can hear water the water whooshing so suspect pump is working. We have been up and checked the header tank and it has water. Any thoughts? Could it be an airlock? Hoe can we sort it? There is snow outside so keen to get it back up and running.

Remove the centre screw from the central heating pump. (a large screw driver is needed) A little water will come out, once the screw is removed, see if the pump spins freely.

There should also be an air vent near the cylinder, open this and see if any air comes out.

Replace the centre screw in the pump then:

Turn your heating on and turn the pump up and down from speed 1 to speed 3 and then back down again, this also pushes the air around the pipe work and hopefully to the radiators or bleed valve in the air in cupboard.

Did the kitchen fitters just drain down the rad in the kitchen and cap the valves, or drained down the whole system before capping off the pipes?

I don't think they drained system, I think they just took it off and let some water out.

Maybe a Blocked cold feed. That's why the radiator not fillin, time to call a plumber at lease he will fix it and problem solved

If the system is a one pipe system, by removing that radiator, it could stop the flow and return all together. I've seen it happen before, by virtue of the way it was designed. Suggest it to plumber/heating engineer when he investigates.
