Coloured Mortar for patio pointing

The mortar between the slabs on our patio area is a very poor state and I would like to refresh with a white or light cream mortar rather than the existing grey.

Is this possible using a wet or semi-wet mix?

Any ideas on mix ratio's etc and things to watch for?

Sounds feasible using snowcrete and a pale coloured sand - it wont be white but it will be pale yellow depending on the sand colour
