Hi any tips on choosing colours , would like a mix of two (is a boy & girl room) so need to please both!

What do you think gives the best effect ....bottom half one colour top half another

3/4 one colour - 1/4 another
or

3 walls one colour fourth wall another........
thanks once again

P.S - What do you make of the Dulux Paint Pod .......any good or a waste of money

If you're contemplating doing two colours on the same wall, bear in mind that you will have a fairly tricky job cutting in horizontally unless there is a dado rail or you're planning on putting a border up.

Have you thought of giving them an end wall each with something fairly neutral in between, maybe a bit easier to separate the (possibly) conflicting colours.

Paint-pod - do a search (button at top of screen), also Zampa has done a review on it (basically, don't bother)

Colour is a personal thing..hard to advise on, only thing id say is if you fancy two colours keep the 'greyness' of them similar..colours that normally 'go' wont if they have different strengths...i.e cream and green..fine if they are fairly muted but if the green is limey looking and to strong it aint going to work

If your going to have two creams make sure they are based on a similar colour..some creams might be yellow based some might have an orange tinge to them

Pick your colours off a colour card in the same room as you intend to paint..light makes a lot of difference

Personally theres only a couple of colours I dont like togther...pink and cream..only personal preference though.
