Hi BigJon.
The FCU is fed directly from the consumer unit in 1.0mm t&e.
the FCU has a 3amp fuse in it.
The combi is a worcester bosch 24cdi
from the manual:

" Electricity supply
A 3amp fused three pin plug and unswitched shuttered socket
outlet (both complying with BS 1362) or preferably a double pole isolator with a contact separation of 3mm in all poles supplying the appliance should be used.
The appliance electrical circuits are also protected by an internal 2amp fuse. The appliance must be earthed. "

thanks.

So there's your answer. You've got a lemgth of 1.0mm cable coming from the consumer unit. Should be protected by a 6A fuse in the CU.
I am assuming that this is the only circuit on that fuse, please dont tell me it also serves a lighting circuit...?

That cable goes to an FCU and that should have a 3A fuse in it.
