Come on Nigel we need you back to kick butt

poor old roger doesn't know how his smears play with the under-65 voters. Nor with those who don't live in extremist parts of NI.

2017 General Election

You remember, that's the one where the Tories lost their majority

Ha ha, you are desperately clinging to the hope that suggests an upward trend :D

Now see the cold reality:

First, some context – last year, Labour over-performed expectations in the general election but still fell 61 seats short of a majority. To have any semblance of stability a government needs a majority of at least 30 (John Major’s 1992 administration soon fell apart despite starting the parliament with a majority of 21), probably nearer 40. This means Labour is roughly 100 seats short of what’s required to govern.

Yesterday’s local election results demonstrated nothing like the breakthrough Labour requires to call itself a government-in-waiting. Three lessons are evident: Labour’s badly needs Tory switchers, ground organisation alone isn’t enough and Brexit dangers now lurk with the party so reliant on Remainers to buttress its vote.

Given the deadlock between Labour and the Tories at 40%-ish each in the polls, for the past year, there seems to be limited scope to boost Labour’s vote share by further attracting non-voters or squeezing minor parties. Certainly not enough votes in the right places to secure an extra 100 seats.

The only route through for Labour is to win the support of people who are currently Tory voters.

It is generally just a few marginals which determine the outcome - so Labour has to persuade the permanently undecided that it's their turn.

Oh, is that what you think?

How many votes did they get in the last General Election?

And how many in the one before that?

well bless my soul, I have the figures here.

They'll pick up some more if we can get the Daily Wail and Notch to pour out some more attacks.

Been out on the pi55 with Junkers ? Tory votes increased as well in 2017 Election, as far as I can tell, the Conservatives HAVE NOT lost their lead, it may be a narrower lead but its not lost, unlike your lonely brain cell that went looking for a partner & hasn't been seen for years.

It's hardly surprising that older people are more likely to vote Tory, because wisdom comes with age. Don't know why they bother though, because the Tories don't really appear to be conservative any more.

More than a few marginals it would seem.

If the marginals are Tory held, then Labour needs to convert them.

JohnDs quoting of the last 2 elections, was I presume because his interpretation of the increase in voting numbers proves an upward trend. The polls of this year indicate otherwise.

Also in the 2017 election the conversion ratio of votes to seats was pretty poor. The indicates Labour did not succeed in marginal seats but rather increased their lead in their safe seats.

But then thats Corbyn for you, loves to preach to the converted. Probably likes hearing his name chanted

Fekkkinell Notch you really are dredging up the dirt - ANY dirt. Full on panic mode from Notch now that the Tories are at an all time low. So predictable.

Be prepared for words like:
Anti-Semitic
Terrorist sympathiser.
Venezuela.
Commie.
Gerry Adams.
Condemn IRA.
Mc Donnell.
Czech spy.

Blah, blah, blah. Notch's bull shoite anti-Corbyn propaganda machine will be in full swing soon, by the smell of it. The poor bloke is terrified. Poor old trembling Notch.

The list wasnt full either:

Dont forget:

Seamus Milne, ex commiunist (now key part of the corbynisa gang)

Momentum -pressure group that deselects the moderate labour elements and intimidates them into leaving

Jeremy Corbyn used to write a column for the morning start the UK's only communist paper.

Oh and Jeremy Corbyn had a prime spot on RT

And dont forget Jeremy Corbyn was paid £20,000 for his appearances on Press TV (Iranian state broadcast network and banned by ofcom).
