Concrete base for shed/log cabin - urgent advice needed

Yep, I asked if it should be covered - but he answered, "No, it will sweat".

Not sure what you mean. There's no concrete behind the shuttering, if you mean to the right of the bottom pic - it's just slabs that can be easily moved.

If they're normal housebricks amnd not engineering bricks then will they not breakdown if used underground and the voids shown in the photo look huge.

The reason old house bricks should not normally be used as hardcore is that they may contain salts. When they get damp (which they will do in contact with the ground under the slab) the salts expand and can lift/crack the slab.

Many houses with solid floors have had to have them taken up and relaid due to this problem.

Thanks for your all your comments; the house bricks and other rubble is coming up too then.

Would the pile of busted up concrete from the original base be ok to use as a sub-base?

And would I need to rent in a whacker to get it compacted down?

I don't know what he used for your base, but it wasn't concrete
