We have a concrete hard standing at the front of our house and have recently had the front garden wall removed in readiness for the kerb to be lowered by the council so that we can use it to park on.

Anyway we've noticed that since having the wall removed a couple of new cracks have appeared in the concrete (there where existing cracks that have been there for years).

Is it likely that the cracking will get worse when we start parking on it?

In the long term we are hoping to get it completely re-done but as we all know things are a bit tight at the moment so it's not a priority.

It's said that there are two types of concrete; concrete that has cracked, and concrete that hasn't cracked yet.

Do you know how thick the concrete is, and what the sub-base is? That would give you some idea of its weight-bearing properties.

In your place, I'd wait and see what is the effect of parking a vehicle on it. If any problems develop, it's not likely that they will be sudden or catastrophic.
