Just had a quick q about condensate pipes. Is there a maximum length they can be before they run into a drain of some kind?

Any info would be appreciated. Cheers.

It varies but will be documented in the installation instructions.

Should only go to a maximum of 3M in overflow pipe, above this it should be in 32mm.

This is a good place to start.

Possibly correct but a little misleading - Check instructions.

Here is some I had to hand, mentions no maximum distance internally.

Installation Instructions - Ferroli said:
Pipework external to the building should be increased in diameter to 32 or 40 mm solvent weld. It should
be run to a external drain or soakaway, with a maximum lenth of 3 metres.

Condensate pipe length should be kept as short as possible – externally run condensate drainpipes should be limited to 3m to reduce the risk of freezing. When an appliance is to be installed in an unheated location such as a garage, all condensate drains should be considered as external.
