Hi all,
I have a Bauhaus concealed cistern and frame, and need to connect a 40mm waste pipe from 2 basins.
Here's the setup:
The WC pan will connect to a 110mm soil pipe coming straight up from the floor. The cistern comes with a 90 deg fitting that goes from 110mm plain end at the bottom, to a smaller diameter push fit connector. This 90 deg pipe clamps to the frame and receives a straight pipe that connects it to the pan.
Here's the question:
Can I join the floor soil pipe to the 90 deg bend with a straight coupler that includes a 40mm boss to take the basin waste in horizontally? Looking at standard pan connectors that include a 40mm boss, they all seem to have the 40mm pipe enter downwards at the top of the pipe, and not sideways. Is this because you shouldn't enter the 40mm at the side?
Many thanks,
Robin
