connecting PVC foul pipe to existing cast iron soil stack

Im fitting a new bathroom at the front of the house, sewers and soil pipe are at the back so have fixed the new pipe down the side of the house (20mm fall per metre for a 1:50 gradient)

whats the best way to connect into the existing pipe? have seen strap on bosses but not seen any that connect 2 pipes of the same diameter, do people normally just cut the existing and do plastic up from there?
