connecting to a two way switch

i want to connect a single switch for under cupboard lighting to a two way light switch so i can use them seperatley the wireing for the two way switch is yellow to common/ R to L1 / B to L2 how do i connect my single switch .

It isn't as simple as running wires from the switch as it doesn't sound like you have a neutral there, take a look in the wiki at wiring diagrams in the lighting section.

You may be able to fit a switched fused spur unit from a nearby socket circuit to supply the cupboard lighting.
