I have a 40mm walnut hardwood worktop.
I wish to give the kitchen a 'boxed' feel so at the end of the units, I wish to run a 27mm thick piece of worktop down to the floor.
This will mean joining a 27mm worktop to a 40mm worktop at right angles vertically down to the floor. The horizontal 40mm piece will rest on top of the 27mm vertical piece. I do not want there to be any overhang of the worktop over the side panel piece which means the joint will be flush and has to look nice.
My problem is how to join these pieces.
I intend to biscuit joint and use worktop bolts but I cant figure out how you would cut the hole for the bolt from underneath the 40mm worktop.
Standard jigs for bolt holes are designed to join worktops that are horizontal.
As the joint has to be flush and clean, I suspect that I have to bolt it somehow, but I am at a loss.
Any ideas?
