Having a conservatory built soon and need to sort out the electrics. Due to decor and location its not possible to extend the existing ring circuit to include the new conservatory so am thinking that a new circuit is the way to go as i have one spare RCD way in my split load CU. I need 3 or 4 sockets, a fan/light and undertile heating (2000w) was thinking i could just run a 4mm radial backed up with a 32a mcb to supply everything i need - Anything wrong with my layout below ?, Could i also branch off socket 1 directly to say socket 4 (not drawn if required ?) or does everything have to be daisy chained ?

CU------socket 1-------socket 2------socket 3------13amp FCU-------3amp FCU

The underfloor would be connected to the 13a FCU in 2.5mm T&E and the Fan/light to the 3 amp FCU in 1/1.5mm T&E cable - The rest would be wired in 4mm T&E?

PS would this require certification ? ie Part P

Thanks Lee

See "Electricians' Interesting Discussion" For diagrams of radial circuits.

yeah, as it's a new circuit it requires an Electrical Installation Certificate & testing / certifying / LABC notification under Part P.

WOW..................heated stuff on there !!!, From what i can gather looking at the diagrams rather than trying to follow the debate then my design is fine, the only question remaining is - Would this work require any certification ??

Thanks
