Constantly blown lightbulbs.

Yeah - I wasn't too sure what you meant by using a bayonet type fitting to measure the voltage. The light's always been a bit wobbly and I was never too keen, so replacement could be good.
I plan on having lights in the garden (front and back eventually). Might I be able to take power from this light? ...but that's for another thread and another day...

bayonet fitting is where you push and twist the lamp to fit it. Easier and safer to test the voltage on these
screw in fitting is obvious (i hope) ;)
