Is there a minimum height for mounting a CU?

When my house was built, it was installed in a cupboard under the stairs approximately 400mm above the floor. Due to cables to existing unit, meter & service head, sloping ceiling, alarm panel etc., I've had to position a new one at the side of it for my kitchen extension.

The building inspector is checking the installation next week. But is it too low by modern standards?

As long as it is readily accessible, protected from mechanical damage and the ingress of water, and the tails feeding it are also adequately sized and protected I dont foresee a problem.

There's regs governing locations in new builds (disabled access etc) but not for existing. Per above: As long as it accessible yr OK
