Hi

I have 2 consumer units one for the house and one for my storage heaters.
Would it be possible to have them both put into one C/U
I would like to switch off the heaters separately in the summer (when we have one lol ) so is there any C/U with 2 main switches ?

Since the storage is via a E7 type meter and has it's own tails from the supplier, I'm sure you can't.

A CU has a single service in, so unless you want to run your storage heaters via normal (non cheap) supply, the answer is 'no'

you can get dual tariff boards, either with an RCD and isolator switch or two switches, if you need RCD protected circuits and non RCD protected circuits just get the type with two main switches and use RCBOs instead of MCBs for those particular circuits

Dual tariff boards are quite expensive and less simple.

1) Why do you want to do it?

2) Does all your electricity go onto cheap rate at night, or does the additional circuit get switched on at night and off during the day?

3) You have storage heaters so are you at home during the day?

4) If you wish to switch off your storage heaters in summer, why don't you just use the main switch on the Storage Heater CU?
