In the process of having extension built for kitchen diner and have a query about the electrics. Does the cooker hood need to be wired into a flex outlet which is then connected to an accessible fused connection unit at worktop level in order to comply with regulations? Or is this just preferable?
At the moment the builders have wired it so there is just a switched socket for the hood at hood level and I'm not sure whether this would pass for building regulations. If it needs changing I want to get it done now rather than wait till walls plastered etc.
